of Kung Fu' is an all new show that features a
stunning combination of martial arts, dance and acrobatics. Produced entirely in-house by Star Cruises, the
spectacular USD 1 million production brings together a multi-award winning international cast of 30 talented artistes from Brazil.
'Kingdom
of Kung Fu' encompasses the sheer power and action of the
Shaolin Masters, the grace and fluidity of the arts and dance
coupled with the precision skills of acrobatics. It
is a reflection of a fusion of cultures which sees good triumph
over evil in cleverly choreographed sequences complemented with
dramatic sound, lights, special effects, stage props and
backdrops.
'Kingdom
of Kung Fu' follows the extremely successful production 'Sorpresa' by Star Cruises and is the first to feature the
Shaolin Masters onboard a cruise liner.
China Ying-Chuan Acrobatic Troupe
Formed in 1958, the China Ying-Chuan Acrobatic Troupe was specially set-up as part of the Ning-Xia Self-Administrative District's cultural program.
This talented group of acrobats have all successfully undergone a strict selection process which involved the best candidates from famous acrobatic schools throughout China.
A proud history over the last four decades has seen the troupe performing and competing the world over apart from being a powerful acrobatic force winning many championships in China in the 80s as well as a Bronze medal in the Italian International Youth Art Competition in 1993.
In recent years, the troupe's focus has centered around cultural exchange programs, building on strengthening bilateral ties and promoting and exporting Chinese traditional culture. They have travelled extensively and performed in more than 25 countries that include the USA, Germany, Canada, Italy, Russia, Syria, Poland, Japan, Korea, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Mongolia and Hong Kong.
